Their Light Guides Us
Their Light Guides Us
Their Light Guides Us is grounded in my experience serving as a chaplain in hospice. During this time, I walked alongside many people at the end of life, and especially those living with dementia. They were some of the most incredible people I have ever known.
Dementia is a very difficult disease, one that brings profound grief and suffering to many individuals and families. Yet as I watched people navigate their lives, I gradually realised they were showing me a new way to be human.
Sitting with those living with dementia taught me the art of embracing change and letting go of those things that keep us disconnected from each other. I will always be grateful for these lessons. For me, learning to forgive and living in the light of God's Unconditional Love sits at the heart of this.
