The Sovereign Rule of Love is a work of prophetic imagination, shaped by a deep desire for all people to live in peace. As I engaged in my own healing and experienced the transformative power of immersing myself in the story of Unconditional Love, I began to imagine what a world shaped by this reality might look like.

I saw no reason why people should continue to live under narratives of fear, shaped by religion and political systems that seek to control and dominate. Instead, I wanted to move this work beyond theory and into lived reality. If this work is inspired by God/the Holy, and if this presence is known throughout the world, then it is worth imagining a world formed in its loving image. 

From here, questions began to emerge: How do we raise our children to value themselves and others? How do we move beyond violence, anger, and hatred, and learn to welcome people as our neighbours? How does this shape the way we care for those in need or relate to those from different nations? What does it mean for how we approach war, or the systems that structure our society? 

These questions are explored in this book through the lens of loving kindness and a commitment to living well for the sake of one another. This work continues to shape my desire to see a world more deeply oriented toward peace and unity.
