The Liberated Life: Part Three
All lives are lived in the Presence of God/the Holy as we understand God/the Holy to be. The exact nature and understanding of who or what God/the Holy is has taken many forms throughout history. Many words have been written to try and capture its Truth. Words are important, and words are also not important. Instead, the Loving, Joyful, and Peaceful feeling of being immersed in the Presence of God/the Holy is the highest form of expression of knowing this Reality.
Words cannot communicate the full Truth of the Infinite Holy [other], yet they can be used to tell the story of the Love we feel in Its presence. Fear of not having the right words has led some to live tortured lives and to torture others. In religious circles, anger, hatred, and violence have been perpetuated in the name of truth-telling and truth-claiming. We can only justify the claim to have certain knowledge of God/the Holy by engaging in circular reasoning, assuming the sources on which we base this knowledge to be true a priori (i.e. without justification). While we cannot prove that God/the Holy is Unconditionally Loving, lives are better for presuming it is. Begin here! Invite people to prove you wrong.
Resist any claim to Absolutism and welcome all to contribute to an understanding of Truth communally. We are many, and we are all immersed in the same Unconditionally Loving Presence. Grow together in knowledge and understanding of this, and welcome all to share their unique experiences of it. The proof of this method being logically sound will be seen in people living together in Love, Joy, Peace, and Freedom. What is True is True because it works to make the world a better place.
When the claim to know Truth leads to anger, hatred, and violence, the story needs to change. People do not live their best lives in a world underpinned by solipsistic absolutism.
Loving others frees us from all that is keeping us in small spaces. When we know and feel Unconditional Love, we will know and feel Joy, Peace, and Freedom. Love resets all our lives into a new story. Presume Love is a universal attribute of God/the Holy, present in all, and with confidence, connect with this Reality in all. Living into this Truth can take the form of talking to a trusted companion, prayer, contemplation, journaling, movement, and breathing. Do all this in the confidence that God/the Holy is present and welcoming.
I am who I am! Overcome a perceived fear of Imperfection. What is “Perfect” is based on presumptions others have made about this. Any claim to know a Perfect Life requires Pure [objective] knowledge, which is beyond our finite [human] understanding. Don’t let someone catch your life in their truth. We cannot attain perfect knowledge of anything beyond our experience. Presume to be perfectly imperfect together.
