The Book of Liberty
Grounding: Twenty-Three
Do not live in fear.
Make bold choices.
If there is something you are fearful of, face it, stare it down, look at it close up, because you will start to see it differently.
You will begin to illuminate your fear, understand what it is, and where it has come from.
It is in your life for a reason.
It may be there to teach you something or to help you teach others.
It may be there to move you along - to put you in a new space, a bold space, a strong space, a brave space.
Somewhere you will begin to make different choices, take chances, and live life in a new Way.
It is easy to live the same life over and over.
It is easy to follow the crowd, yet there is always something in your life that is calling you to be different.
There is always going to be something different about you because there is only one of you.
There is a creative spark inspired by God/the Holy that will light up the world through you in a New Way.
Something that gets you excited.
Something you find yourself regularly thinking about.
A passion or sense of Call that energises you.
It’s easy to keep something hidden inside when we fear it will take over and become too big. We fear it may cost us our whole life.
We fear what we might need to sacrifice to start living into this new Truth, and yet this thing, this brand-new thing, keeps calling.
It just keeps calling.
It won’t let you go, and as much as you try to ignore it, it keeps coming back.
It is going to keep calling your name over and over until one day you answer; then when you do, life will never be the same again.
How exciting!
We fear the unknown, but the unknown is simply one step ahead of where we are right now.
This very moment you are in right now was once an unknown moment before.
Trust that God/the Holy will never let you go.
Trust that God/the Holy is in each moment.
Trust that God/the Holy is calling you to do a new thing and to live a new way.
Trust that you will only ever be given Good Gifts by God/the Holy.
Trust that the new thing emerging in your life is a Good gift from God/the Holy.
Always name it as Good because it is - always.
