The Book of Liberty
Grounding: Nineteen
Stories are important.
The story we tell about our life will give us a purpose and reason for being in the world.
This story is important because it influences our lives in significant ways.
It gives us hope that things have a reason for being the way they are, even in difficult times.
If we tell ourselves a story that this is a purposeless world, a world of randomness and chance, a world where there is no ultimate reason for things being the way they are, then this can lead to despair and a sense of hopelessness.
We all need stories that empower us and give us hope when life becomes difficult and challenging.
The Greatest Story we can tell about our life is that we live in the presence of an Unconditionally Loving Reality, or God/the Holy as we understand God/the Holy to be.
However you define this Reality is not important, only that your life is immersed in its Unconditionally Loving Presence.
When we invest our lives in this Story, we get to trust that in each moment our life has meaning and purpose - that behind everything that happens is a Loving Presence.
This allows us to remain in a place of trust when it comes to the story of our life unfolding; that what we first see happening is not all there is going on.
In each moment, life is moving towards a greater unveiling of Love, Joy, Peace, and Freedom in the world; this is the Good.
Trust that in each moment we are being shown signs of where we are moving towards the next Good thing.
Signs are things we see and hear, as well as thoughts we have, things we read, visions, and dreams.
Anything that captures our attention is a sign.
They are clues for where life is moving next for us.
They ground us in the Now.
When we meditate on and ponder the signs, we can begin to understand who we are and what our purpose is.
We can also track the signs we have been receiving from the earliest moments of our lives through to the present day.
We see the story of our life unfolding, and this will help us understand our Place and Purpose.
We do not need to travel through this life feeling we have no direction.
When we have eyes to see and ears to hear, we will learn great Truths about who we are and what our Purpose for being here is; how we can serve others and leave this world a better place for future generations to come.
Understanding who we are means we get to bring Heaven to Earth.
When we live by the story that our lives are shaped, formed, and transformed by an Eternally Loving Presence, we can trust that in each moment a greater Good is being manifest in this world.
Through the Good we see the Will of God/the Holy being done.
