This page provides a brief professional context for those who would like to know more about the author's background behind this work.
Stephen Richards, MA, is a community educator, writer, and former hospice chaplain with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through complex life transitions. He teaches adult education courses on topics including end-of-life planning, dementia, and navigating difficult conversations.
With a background in education, healthcare, and trauma-informed communication — supported by a master’s degree, Clinical Pastoral Education completed in healthcare settings, and prior experience as a high school teacher — Stephen is particularly interested in how people make meaning during times of change, and in creating learning environments that offer practical insight, compassion, and respect for diverse experiences and beliefs. The work shared on this site is shaped by listening, reflection, and lived experience.
"Beyond Fundamentalism: My Story of Recovery" describes Stephen's journey of growing up in a fundamentalist religion, through 20 years of atheism, and into a more open and inclusive expression of faith. The full account can be found in the Liberated Life Commentary on Acts.
Founder's statement:
“I created Divine Infinity LLC to help people find freedom from guilt, shame, and judgment. I want to help people find peace within themselves so they can be peacemakers in the world.
I do this by helping people notice the small stories they carry about themselves, others, God, and the world, often shaped by religious environments and certain religious teachings.
Every book, journal, talk, and article I create is intended to help people reconnect with the infinite source of Love, Joy, Peace, and Freedom within us all. This work unfolds naturally through reflective writing, dreamwork, and spiritual exploration, beginning exactly where you are.”
