The Book of Liberty
Grounding: Twenty-One
Where are your energy and passion directed?
When immersed in the Unconditionally Loving Presence of God/the Holy, we connect with all life-giving activities in the world.
Our energy and passion are directed towards Life and Freedom for all.
What we love above all else is where our energy and passion are most intense.
This is why we want to channel our energies in a life-giving way; this is the Good.
Our energy and passions are powerful creative forces in the world. They can also become powerfully destructive.
When our energy is directed towards self-serving ends, we can misuse and mistreat other people and the world's resources.
We become a source of dis-ease, disharmony, and discord.
Directing time, energy, and passion towards the pursuit of wealth and power is one way this will happen.
Our perception of ourselves and others can become distorted when these are our primary focus.
They will especially distort our sense of purpose.
When energy and passion are singularly directed towards wealth and power acquisition, they become devastating forces of destruction.
Relationships are torn apart in ways that are difficult to reconcile when people are singularly focused on their own interests and needs.
This is why Truth is always a communal thing.
We need the insight and wisdom of many, not just our own, to balance out the innate tendency we have to use our energies and passions in self-serving ways.
Energy focused on the pursuit of one experience leads to addiction.
Passion channelled in the direction of one person arouses obsession.
When we understand the whole world as a gift of God/the Holy to all, then we are empowered to channel our energy and passion in a multiplicity of ways.
We get to enjoy doing more than one thing and being capable of doing more than just one thing. We do not have only one calling.
We can have more than one set of interests and a sense of call.
Of course, we are going to enjoy some things more than others simply because they resonate more deeply with our spirit, but these are not the only things that will do that.
Explore passions and interests as they resonate deeply in your life and in a manner that brings forth greater life.
Being committed to one person, place, or thing defines the nature of home life.
Home is to be a place full of the Spirit of Love, Joy, Peace, and Freedom.
Do not endorse or celebrate any passion that upsets your home life. Such things lead to death.
Death is many things.
Focus on what brings life into the world and your home.
Life is also many things.
Ultimately, life is Freedom from anything that enslaves us.
The Way of God/the Holy is to overcome the powers that enslave us by leading us to live in Freedom. The fruits of this Freedom are Love, Joy, and Peace.
