The Book of Liberty
Grounding: Nine
When we understand that God/the Holy is everywhere, we will no longer judge any moment - it just is.
Moments come and moments go; each one will be deemed Good or Bad, Holy or Unholy, Righteous or Unrighteous according to our understanding of what these mean, as taught by our culture, society, and tradition.
Through them, each moment is shaped and formed.
As such, all experience contains an interpretive element; there is no experience of anything apart from this.
The moment itself is neutral, but our experience of it is not.
Layers of meaning are applied when it comes to our personal experience of anything, and we do this simply to make sense of the world.
We do not live in a world devoid of meaning.
When it comes to God/the Holy, we have created an understanding of who or what this is via our personal beliefs and religious traditions.
These are things that have been handed down to us, and we use them to judge, validate, and even invalidate the so-called work of God/the Holy in our life and the lives of others.
Religious-based thinking promotes the belief that God/the Holy will only come into a life, or remain in it, when things are organised in a particular way.
Religions promote organised forms of knowing and relating to God/the Holy.
Religious thinking attempts to set lives in order before God/the Holy is said to be ready to come in.
When the Loving Presence of God/the Holy is seen everywhere, religion becomes more inclusive and universal in scope and form.
The door needing to be opened is shown to be open. It was never closed in the first place.
God/the Holy was never shut out of any life because God/the Holy is infinitely present everywhere.
Limiting your experience, knowledge, and understanding of God/the Holy will lead to guilt, shame, and judgement.
Guilt arises when someone feels that things done can never be undone.
Shame is the result of feeling that one is never good enough.
Guilt and shame leave people in judgement, believing they are undeserving of a Good Life.
They also lead people to deny their true selves and their right to live an abundant and joyful life.
The abundant life is eternal; a life that we never want to end.
Any fear associated with God/the Holy is to be awe-inspired.
To be in awe is to be caught up in the Magnificence of God/the Holy and the richness this brings into each life.
God/the Holy is quite simply awesome!
God/the Holy is awesome for bestowing abundant gifts of blessing on each life. Such generosity will leave people open-mouthed.
When guilt, shame, and judgement are associated with God/the Holy, these are grounded in the human condition.
Humans will use guilt, shame, and judgement to control our knowledge and experience of God/the Holy, despite this being unconditionally present with us, as well as Loving and Giving.
Any fear of God/the Holy associated with guilt, shame, and judgement is to be reserved for those who kill the body and soul with religious teachings that keep people apart from the love, joy, and peace that lead to freedom, placing them in a personal hell of their own making.
The antidote to this fear is to remain in the Unconditionally Loving Presence of God/the Holy.
Choose to begin here and remain there.
